Vinci (1690-1730) was a famous italian baroque composer
best known for his operas. All comic operas from the beginning
of his career, with the exception of "Li Zite in Galera"
(The Newlyweds on the Galley) are lost.
"Catone in Utica" based on a libretto by Metastasio
was originally written for Vinci in 1728.
